 Brief description about Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Christianity

Ethiopian Orthodox Tewadedo (Ge'ez ተዋሕዶ) means "being made one" or "unified". The word is in Ge'ez meaning and it refers to oneness, single unified Nature of Christ that is also a complet and natural union of the Divine and Human Natures.

Baptism

Of all the sacraments, it is the first because it is considered as the door through which the believer enters the church and the Kingdom of Grace according to what was said by the Lord Jesus Christ:  “Except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God” (John 3:5)....(Click here for more)

Confirmation 

It is service that follows the baptism to confirm him/her in the new life given through baptism. It is gifts of the Holy Spirit. This sacrament can never be repeated like Baptism. ....(Click here for more)

Holy Communion 

Holy Communion is both a Sacrament and a Sacrifice offered for our salvation, an unbloody sacrifice. It is a mystery service through which we eat the blessed flesh of our Lord, and drink His precious blood under the form of bread and wine. Matrimony

The sacrament of Holy Matrimony is another holy ceremony and ordained by God.  Through this sacrament, a husband and wife are united and given the Divine Grace which sanctifies their union and makes it perfect and spiritual like the unity of Christ and the Church....(Click here for more)

Penance

Penance is the sacrament in which Christians receive forgiveness of sins on repenting and confessing to their priest. “Repent ye therefore, and turn to God, that your sins may be blotted out” (Acts 3:19)....(Click here for more)

Unction of the Sick
